Collaborate Connects Victims of Abuse to Localized Help Across Kentucky

Data integration automates the referral process from state welfare workers to child advocates.

Children’s Advocacy Centers of Kentucky (CAC Kentucky) has used Collaborate since 2018 to track cases and deliver reports to funders. Recently, they partnered with the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) on a data integration that’s putting child abuse investigation info directly in the hands of service providers.

Using technology to better share child welfare information between the Commonwealth of Kentucky and our CACs has changed the way we serve clients. The technology allows us to enhance communication and improve the efficient response of all team members, ultimately benefiting children.

Replacing a former manual process that involved spreadsheets, phone calls, and emails, Collaborate’s Investigation Feature empowers CAC Kentucky’s member centers to:

  • Quickly evaluate qualifying investigations,
  • Generate pre-populated cases from that data, and
  • Deliver services to more children and families.
